The essentials

A GPS pin may lack context on a divided road or near an interchange. Add your direction of travel and a visible landmark without walking towards traffic. If there is immediate danger, contact emergency services or the road operator before completing a recovery request.

Information to prepare

  • Provide the road, direction and last known exit.
  • Describe the vehicle’s position relative to traffic lanes.
  • Report any collision, injury or leak.
  • Keep your phone available after submitting the request.

What to watch for

Do not cross traffic lanes or expose yourself to place equipment or take a photo. On ADM motorways, 5050 directs you to authorised assistance.

Start by describing the breakdown and your location. If towing is needed, add the destination when you know it.

What if there is immediate danger?

Move to a safe place without exposing yourself to traffic and contact the relevant emergency services. On a concession motorway, contact ADM on 5050 and follow their instructions. Daba does not replace emergency services.
