The essentials

A motorcycle needs a different securing arrangement from a car. Its model, weight, wheel condition and steering affect loading preparations. Say if it has fallen or a wheel cannot turn. The professional must confirm that their vehicle and securing equipment suit your motorcycle.

Information to prepare

  • Give the motorcycle or scooter model and weight if known.
  • Flag a locked steering, wheel or security lock.
  • Describe any damage from a fall.
  • Provide the loading location and intended destination.

What to watch for

Do not tow a motorcycle with a rope. If a fall has caused injury or a fuel leak, address the danger with emergency services first.

How much does assistance cost?

Agree on the price with the professional. It depends on the problem, vehicle, access and any transport distance.

When will the professional arrive?

Availability and arrival time depend on professionals in your area, site access and required equipment. Confirm these when arranging assistance.

Do I need to know the destination garage?

Start by describing the breakdown and your location. If towing is needed, add the destination when you know it.

What if there is immediate danger?

Move to a safe place without exposing yourself to traffic and contact the relevant emergency services. On a concession motorway, contact ADM on 5050 and follow their instructions. Daba does not replace emergency services.
