Distinguish the situations

A key left inside, a broken key and an inactive remote do not necessarily require the same intervention. Note the model, year and where the keys are. If a spare exists, check whether someone can bring it. Do not force the lock or insert objects into the door; the appropriate method depends on the vehicle.

Prioritise a person in danger

If a child, vulnerable person or animal is locked inside and exposed to heat or another danger, contact the appropriate emergency services immediately. Do not wait for a recovery request to be confirmed. Stay nearby in a safe place, explain the situation accurately and follow the emergency operator’s instructions.

Prepare the request and supporting details

For access that does not involve an immediate emergency, describe the situation in Daba and mention any access constraints. Prepare documents establishing your right to use the vehicle, as requested by the professional. Confirm the proposed method and price before work starts. Damage-free opening cannot be guaranteed remotely.
